No big E3 plans for Rockstar
CVG are reporting that Rockstar, the publisher behind Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto, will be having a low key presence at E3 this year.
It was expected that Max Payne 3 and L.A. Noire would be on show at the press event in LA, but Rockstar have changed their plans because they fear there will not be enough time to show as much as they would like.
Instead, the company plan to host a a series of presentations to journalists over the coming weeks at their own studios; so Rockstar news is still on the way. A Rockstar spokesperson said:
“In the end, we feel we simply don’t have enough time to show as much as we would like in the time available.”
It’s still sad news because E3 is a massive event, the closest the games world has to Cannes, and seeing a new big game there usually produces a level of excitement which simply cannot be matched by small press events.
Still, we’re sure other publishers have big plans to wow us.
