BlazBlue: Continuum Shift gets Squirrel Girl DLC in the form of Makoto
Fans of furries are going to love Makoto…
BlazBlue Continuum Shift isn’t even out yet and we’re already getting details on downloadable content. This isn’t just character skins or anything insignificant. This is an actual character being added to the game. And no, she is not already on the disc!
Makoto was previously a non-playable character in the original BlazBlue. She’s a short-range rush down character with incredible speed. Her drive attack, Impact, can be charged so you can unleash an even more devastating special attack. If you’re a very offensive player, you’ll definitely enjoy playing as Makoto.
Oh, but there’s more! The DLC includes a Makoto tutorial mode, extra challenges for the challenge mode, more costume colors, and an ‘Unlimited’ version of the character (an “alter-ego” with different attack properties and tweaked gameplay). You’ll even get additional trophies. This is quite a bit of content!
The online mode will not be broken apart thanks to the downloadable content. Even if you don’t have Makoto, you can still play anyone that does. You just won’t have access to that character. It’s nice to know that everyone can still play against each other.
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift hits store shelves on July 27th in North America. The Squirrel Girl DLC will be available in August in North America and Japan. Europeans will have to wait until October, which is when the game will become available in that region.
