It’s fair to say that not many of us would turn down the chance to be a superhero.  The fame, the glory, the powers and the impending explosions would be too good an opportunity to pass up.

Many a night the members of Team Attitude don some lycra apparel and head out into the public with the intention of doing good (except Danny D).

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that – come November – you too will get the chance to dress in dubious costumes and prance about large cities – as DC Universe Online will be unleashed.

The game has been in development for quite some time now, so it’s nice to see a release window for it.  For those who are unaware, DC Universe Online is an action-focused superhero game in a fully-realized DC Universe.

You get to experience the intensity of a 3D world created in the artistic vision of legendary comic-book artist Jim Lee and WildStorm Productions.

The game uses a state-of-the-art physics engine that turns the world into your weapon, and you will embark on story-driven adventures penned by famous DC writers.

The best part though surely has to be the fact that you can create your own hero or villain.  Who will you be creating come November?
