FirstPlay Thursday – Week 11
FirstPlay has been with us for a few months now and it’s really starting to get into its stride, with great content appearing every week. But what can you find in this week’s episode?
Poor FirstPlay. We have a feeling that no matter how good this week’s episode was, it would still get overshadowed by the multitude of announcements and videos coming in from E3. The highlight this episode is a review of Hideo Kojima’s latest epic, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PSP, which comes out on Friday. That’s right; FirstPlay has finally done a review of a game that isn’t already out!
There’s also an exclusive (unless you have access to the US Store) demo for new American football game, Backbreaker, which isn’t to this writer’s personal taste, but some people might appreciate it. Cheer up though, next week is looking much better (assuming you enjoy dying over and over again), with a review of the tough-as-nails-but-somehow-still-fun RPG, Demon’s Souls.
As always, this episode can be purchased for 99p, or you can save some money by taking out a 90-day subscription for £8.99.

Network Highlights
Expansion Pack Round-up – a look at some of the best DLC on the Store
- Dante’s Inferno – Trials of St. Lucia – good, but deceptively restrictive
- Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Siege Pack – new co-op mode + new skins = fantastic fun
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – Stimulus Map Pack – 4 maps, but £10.99 is a bitter pill to swallow
PSone Classics – a look at some more PSone Classics available on PSN
- Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee – muddy controls, but great sense of humour
- Crash Team Racing – almost as good as Mario Kart
- Driver – somehow even harder now than it was in 1999
Uncharted 2 Killstreak – an impressive 33 Killstreak, but seeing Nathan Drake die that much was painful – check out the PS3 Attitude review here
Top Ten 2010 FIFA World Cup Celebrations – a guide to pulling off FIFA’s most annoying goal celebrations – check out the PS3 Attitude review here

Bulletstorm – not so much People Can Fly as People Can Die A Number Of Horrific And Gruesome Deaths (which, by the way, is definitely a good thing)
Dead Space 2 – seems rather tame after E3, but we appreciate this all the same
Killzone 3 – again, bit out-of-date after E3, but at least you can use these as your XMB wallpaper!
RAGE – can id once again show who the FPS masters are?
Vanquish – classic Mikami
