GameStation goes into the pawn business
Cheap puns aside, the last couple of years haven’t exactly been sunshine and lollipops. With jobs losses aplenty, sometimes you need a quick cash injection to get by.
Well it seems GameStation might be able to help – and no, you’ve not misread that.
We all know the usual drill – go into GameStation with a stack of used games, and leave with either some new games or a (small) wad of notes.
The new scheme is different though and lets you swap your games and consoles for an emergency cash injection and then buy them all back later.
To get the money you need to be over 18 and have ID to prove this. Once you have given GameStation your games/consoles you will then have 28 days to return to the store and buy them back before they are sold on.
What do we think of this scheme? Is it a useful thing to have or something that is just prone to abuse?
