Is Hulu coming to the US PSN?

Submitted by on Monday, 28 June 20102 Comments

Bloomberg are reporting that Sony is in the process of striking a deal which would bring Hulu to the US PSN as early as this week.

Um, guys – what’s a Hulu?

It is a website that offers commercial supported streaming video of TV shows and movies from NBC, Fox, ABC, and many other networks and studios.

Due to licensing issues, Hulu videos are currently offered only to users in the United States – and in order to ensure that no international users outside the US have access to the videos, Hulu blocks many anonymous proxies and virtual private networks.

Whilst free on the PC, Hulu is expected to cost roughly $9.99 a month on the PSN.  On the face of it that seems a bit steep, but we don’t yet know what that monthly fee would include.  A discount on this would also make a tasty PlayStation Plus incentive.
