Kojima Productions has a cryptic E3 2010 countdown
It’s that time again. Konami is counting down to E3. What does the website reveal?
Last year Konami had a countdown and it eventually revealed Metal Gear Solid Rising, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadows. All we got then were flashes of Big Boss, Raiden, a scary mask, and a bunch of letters and numbers.
This time the site is displaying footage of items being cut in a variety of ways. We see wires being cut, a kid getting a haircut, watermelons being sliced, and more. At the top left corner of the screen we have a countdown. It simply says “4 days remaining (LA, US)”.
The page source doesn’t reveal too much either, although it does contain the words Metal Gear. That’s not helpful at all.
What do you think this countdown represents? It could be related to Raiden since he’s a fan of blades. Does this have any relation to the Metal Gear Solid: Rising box art that mysteriously appeared recently? Your guess is as good as ours. You never know, this might be a countdown to a director’s cut of Metal Gear Solid 4. That would be awesome.
Of course, this is all random speculation. Take a look at the Kojima Productions website yourself. Notice anything that stands out?
