Ni no Kuni’s debut trailer shows us how beautiful this game really is
It was revealed yesterday that Ni no Kuni was coming to the PS3. We were overjoyed but there wasn’t much information about the game. That has since changed.
This game is not a port of the DS version of Ni no Kuni: The Another World (now known as Ni no Kuni: Black Mage). The subtitle for the PS3 version isn’t even the same. Instead, the game is referred to as Ni no Kuni: Queen of the Holy White Ash. Of course, these are just Japanese translations. An international version hasn’t even been announced yet.
It seems that the DS and PS3 versions of the game will share the same main character (Oliver) but the story itself will be different. If you couldn’t tell, the PS3 version is being built from the ground up. According to Anoop Gantayat, who attended the Level-5 press conference yesterday, an epic hardcover book will be included with your purchase. You’ll be using it to figure out puzzles as you progress through the game.
All you need to do is check out the trailer above to see how amazing Ni no Kuni looks and sounds. If that’s not enough for you, here’s a few screenshots taken from the official website:
Ni no Kuni: Shiroki Seihai no Joou is scheduled to release sometime in 2011. We’re huge fans of Studio Ghibli and Level-5. This should be a very interesting RPG for PS3 owners. Are you as excited as we are?
