FirstPlay has been with us for a few months now and it’s really starting to get into its stride, with great content appearing every week. But what can you find in this week’s episode?
Hands up those who were impressed with the LittleBigPlanet 2 section of Sony’s E3 conference, because we certainly were. When they said it was a platform for creating games, they really weren’t kidding!
It seems that the power of creation might be closer than you think if a recent press release is anything to go by.
Sony has announced two new peripherals for the much anticipated and well received PlayStation Move.
Rock Band 3 marks a complete makeover for the entire series; adding more songs, more features, and basically evolving the way the music rhythm game is handled.
We’ve known for a while now that keyboards were coming to the franchise and we got up close and personal with the new instrument in addition to testing out the new Pro mode that let’s you get even closer to your dream of becoming a rock star by teaching you how to actually play an instrument.
David Jaffe you sneaky man! After weeks of flat out denying any involvement in a Twisted Metal PS3 game, he was ferried onto the Sony stage by a pimped out ice cream truck driven by Sweet Tooth himself!
In a completely unsurprising turn of events, it has been announced that PlayStation Plus will be launching soon on the PS3.
So – how much and what do we get?
In a conference full of awesome, we have finally been given the date and price for the PlayStation Move.
Well colour us shocked – in one of the most surprising parts of E3 this year, Gabe Newell took to the stage for Sony’s press event. After a bit of mumbling, stumbling and attempted humour he proceeded to announce that Portal 2 would be coming to Sony’s black box, and that it would be the best version.
It’s finally been announced! After years of development, several delays and (last time we checked) a bar tab of about $80 million – Gran Turismo 5 has a release date.
Guys and Gals, we kid you not.

It’s no secret that the Need For Speed franchise has lost its way. Over the past few years we have gone from the streets, to the mountains, to the tracks – but with only a modicum of success. In all honesty we had started to wonder if this was the end of a fun, but flawed, racing franchise.
Step forward Criterion – our saviours.
We already covered earlier today and now it’s Ubisoft’s turn. What announcements and surprises can we expect from the makers of Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell? Let’s find out!
At E3 2009 Electronic Arts showed off Brutal Legend, announced the newest EA Sports title, MMA, and had a special appearance by tennis legend Pete Sampras. What does this year’s press conference have in store for us?

Well kick our butts and call us Betty – no sooner than the reveal trailer of Killzone 3 is released, Sony blow our minds with a brand new trailer featuring actual gameplay footage.
The hype machine starts here.
The end of another hard working week? Well ‘TGIS’ because here at PS3 Attitude we’ve got another 4 fantastic pick-me-ups for gamers everywhere!
Bayonetta, the last project for Platinum Games, was an excellent game, one which we would encourage all PS3 owners to play. It was fast, slick and wonderfully inventive. That being said, us PS3 owners had reasons to be dissatisfied because we ended up with a lesser product compared to the Xbox 360 version.
Thankfully, Platinum Games won’t be making the same mistake with their next game Vanquish, the PS3 is the lead platform this time round and Shinji Mikami (the game’s developer) has assured fans that this approach has been “a success”.
Golf is considered a sport of precision and grace. Its courses are filled with wide open green spaces, luscious landscapes and the occasional water or sand hazard. Minigolf on the other hand, is quite different.
It consists of multiple obstacles that will consistently thwart your never ending quest for that hole-in-one, occasionally pushing you to the brink of madness. Now, imagine an entire planet like this, filled with power-ups and trick shots, and you get Zen Studios’ latest creation.
Is Planet MiniGolf the aforementioned hole-in-one or will you be screaming for a mulligan by the end of the course?
