“The pinger attacks at E3 2010.” Those are the ominous words from Crytek in the latest Crysis 2 teaser trailer. It produce two responses from us: we fear for the safety of our employees who will be attending E3, and we wonder who or what is this Master Pinger.
The biggest game of the year just keeps getting bigger as – once again – Red Dead Redemption fights off the competition to top the UK charts.
Can anything possibly stop it?
Alpha Protocol. All you have to do is mention those two words and the Internet sinks into a negative frenzy, as journalist after journalist takes a snipe at SEGA and Obsidian’s latest.
Is Alpha Protocol really all that bad, or should it have been cancelled?
Daniel Wolf of San Diego, Californian, individually and on behalf of all similarly affected users, has filed a class action lawsuit against Square Enix and Sony for selling copies of Final Fantasy XIII which allegedly caused their “PS3 consoles to freeze and become totally and permanently inoperable.” The plaintiff is seeking more than $5 million in compensation.
Thanks to fan feedback, Lost Planet 2 is getting an update that will fix many of the issues people had with the game.
Sony has launched a nifty new website to promote PlayStation Move, their upcoming motion control device – and Wii Remote beater. The promotional site contains the latest Move related news, a list of launch games and developer diaries. Details explaining Move and the equipment necessary to power it (i.e PlayStation Eye) can also be found.
It’s the year 2027 and human biomechanical augmentations are standard, if you have the money of course. It’s a futuristic world filled with corporation conspiracies and global agendas, not unlike the popular sci-fi film Blade Runner.
At the heart of this one particular conspiracy involving one of the most popular augmentation facilities is Adam Jensen. He’s gone through some pretty hardcore augmentations to his arms and is in search for the truth.

Rockstar have announced via their website that the first of three DLC packs for Red Dead Redemption, entitled Outlaws to the End, will be released on the PlayStation Network on June 22nd in North America (presumably June 23rd in Europe) – that’s less than three weeks away!
With E3 just around the corner, we were expecting that we would have to wait another couple of weeks to finally hear about a sequel to inFAMOUS.
Well like so many of Sony’s big guns, inFAMOUS 2 has been revealed early with Game Informer announcing the front cover for their July issue.
Gamers are said to have active imaginations, which is a good thing because they’re going to need to continue using them in the future. Yes, Vivid Video, the world’s largest distributor of adult entertainment, has run into a brick wall in their attempts to get their mature content streaming on the PS3. Sony, didn’t you claim that the PS3 “only did everything”?
It’s been a while since we last heard from Guitar Hero. After all, Activision managed to pump out a whopping seven Hero games last year so perhaps that’s a good thing.
Today they have announced the next main title in the series; Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and it features much of the same rock star modes we’ve seen in the past along with a few new additions to keep things interesting.

Et tu, SEGA?
It’s been a bit quiet lately on the R.U.S.E front. The game was originally penned for earlier this year, but was one of the casualties of Ubisofts delay machine.
However, a release date has now been announced, and joy of joys the game will be in stores on the 17th September! Let’s just hope this date isn’t a ruse (see what we did there?).
Few FPS games offer as much fun online as Battlefield: Bad Company 2, but it does have a lot of glitches. For example, none of your kills get tracked if you’re using the awesome M1 Garand. That’s just not fair. Thankfully DICE released an update today which will fix this bug as well as others.
This week in White Knight Chronicles four new quests are available at the Frass Chasm. Prepare yourself for a less than epic bug extermination mission.
TikGames-Creat Studios’ hit PSN game Smash Cars will be getting a massive add-on that will include an all new six-player online racing mode called Virus Run.
One randomly selected racer becomes infected with who knows what type of disease. All we know is that it’s contagious. You better be careful when parking your RC car in someone else’s garage.
It has just been announced that BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, the sequel to the acclaimed 2D fighter BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, will finally be coming to Europe in October.
Video games have allowed anyone to become a rock star, a dj, and a dance maniac, but now you can become a rapper thanks to Konami Digital Entertainment and Autumn Games.
Come November 5th, you’ll be able to host a rap battle of your own in the UK. We’ve already told you about the exclusive songs coming to each territory but here are a few more that will be included in the game.
