The video above was uploaded by a YouTube user named “MortalKombatRebirth”. The seven minute video features Hollywood actors such as Michael Jai White in a brutally awesome reimagining of Mortal Kombat.

This brilliant take on the franchise carries a strong horror vibe all throughout. The names are somewhat cheesy in this very serious setting, but the references to the game are pretty clever. Be warned, there is a lot of imagery that might not be suitable for our younger viewers.

Could this be the Mortal Kombat reboot that Warner Bros is rumored to be working on? We’ll have to wait and see. For now, this is just an amazing video based on a popular video game franchise.
