THQ has announced that a Red Faction game will be hitting the PSN as an appetiser for the main course that is Red Faction: Armageddon.

If it’s good, Armageddon it! (Sorry…So very sorry). 

Not much information has been given about the actual game, but THQ are very keen to stress that this is the way they are heading in the future in terms of building up hype and trying to get game pre-orders.

 We quite like this approach.  Building hype by releasing downloadable games, comics and the like is a great way for fans to immerse themselves in a franchises history and back story.

 Of course – the game in question has to actually be good and reasonably priced, but that’s not too much to ask for right?  Right?
