Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ‘Map Pack’ 5 available now

Submitted by on Friday, 30 July 20107 Comments

Can you sense the frustration in our quotations?

It wasn’t long ago that we were complaining about the lack of real map packs to be released for Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Now, DICE has given us reason to call in the whaaaaamblulance yet again.

This marks the fifth different pack EA/DICE have released for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 but as we stated in our announcement of Map Pack 4, only one of them has included actual new maps.

This pack takes two more of the maps we already had and makes them compatible with different game modes.  The map White Pass is now also a Rush map, while Nelson Bay has gotten the Conquest treatment.

We could go on and on once more about how disappointing this is but instead, we’ll show you a new trailer for the pack with hopes that someone out there is actually excited about this.

It’s not that we don’t appreciate getting new modes to play on these maps, it just seems like it would’ve been pretty easy for them to do this right from launch.

Map Pack 5 is available now via the in-game store and as with all previous map packs, VIP status is needed for the download.  If you’re not a VIP member you can buy your way in for $14.99.
