Deep Black brings the action and adventure to all new depths

505 Games is partnering with Russian developer Biart Studio to bring their all new action and adventure title, Deep Black, to the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Set for a Q1 2011 release, Deep Black will take the third person shooter genre to all new depths with its underwater settings. If you thought pulling off a headshot what difficult on dry land, wait till you have to do it submerged in water.

While not much is currently known about the title, the press release does state that it will feature  “action-packed battles with an immersive story line, of complex science-fiction mystery, espionage and bio-terror.” You’ll also have an assortment of harpoons,  underwater jet packs, and mini submersibles to help navigate the waters with and dispose of any opposition.

From the looks of the screenshots, Deep Black reminds us of an underwater Dead Space. Is that Isaac’s suit we see?

Typically we’ve never been a big fan of any of the underwater portions of games as they are often too slow and cumbersome but perhaps Deep Black could change all that. Regardless, the game has caught our interest. What about yours?
