Disgaea 4 to be shown at TGS 2010
Nippon Ichi Software will be revealing the next Disgaea game at the Tokyo Game Show in September. It will be the second game in the series to be released on PlayStation 3, the last being Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice which came out at the beginning of last year.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Disgaea series, they are tactical RPGs – think Final Fantasy Tactics, if you’ve played it, but less serious in tone.
The games have a wicked sense of humour. They are set in a cartoon underworld, full of young eccentric demons who spend their days committing evil deeds. But don’t be fooled by Disgaea’s child-friendly presentation because underneath lies a game that’s arguably deeper and more complex than anything else released this generation. It’s not recommneded for the casual gamer, but if you want an RPG that you can get stuck into for over a 100 hours you can’t go wrong with Disgaea.
We don’t have any details on Disgaea 4 just yet, but NIS are hoping to have it released in Japan before the end of this year. So when we find out more, we’ll let you know.
