Netflix on PS3 patched with search
We may still be waiting for a disc-free solution to Netflix on the PS3, but news has come that the current software has received an upgrade.
The PlayStation 3 is the first console to now support search on the service, making it far easier to find the movie or TV show you want amongst the 10,000+ content available.
Greg Peters, VP of product development, had this to say on the Netflix blog:
Search comes as part of a software upgrade from Netflix – delivered by our continuous improvement architecture. This architecture allows us to improve your Netflix experience by adding more and more features over time. Sony is the first of the game consoles to adopt this new software from Netflix, so if you’re a PS3 user, you can now search for a movie or TV episode on your TV via your PS3. No need to go back to your computer to add it to your Queue. We have more cool features in store with this continuous improvement architecture so stay tuned.
We’re sure that this will be a welcome addition to all users of the service!
