Amazing Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition revealed for EU territories

Submitted by on Wednesday, 4 August 20105 Comments

The EU PlayStation Blog is a great source for PlayStation related news. They updated us on the PlayStation Plus content for August and September and now they have revealed the full details for Gran Turismo 5’s Signature Edition. It’s absolutely brilliant – if a bit expensive. We want it.

The Signature Edition will arrive in supremely sexy, glossy black packaging. It’s a metal sculpted box finished in SLS AMG Obsidian Black. This alone is enough to make you drool, but inside you’ll find even more reasons:

Inside you will find a Signature Edition coffee table book featuring the cars and locations of Gran Turismo 5. There is also a 200 page Apex drivers magazine which gives you hints on driving techniques, car tuning, it is also packed with information on future technologies and even more. They sound as though they will be the perfect accompaniment for potentially the most detailed game of all time.

You’ll also find the following items:

exclusive GT branded SLS AMG 1:43 model car

GT leather wallet containing Signature Edition competition entry car

Branded USB key with Polyphony/Mercedes-Benz trailer

GT branded metal key fob

This is in addition to five ‘ChromeLine’ Collector’s Edition cars plus six ‘Stealth’ vehicles, both featuring enhanced performance and liveries and an exclusive dynamic theme.

I’m sure everyone is sold at this point, but there is a catch: the recommended retail price for the Signature Edition is €179.99, which puts it out of our price range and many others we’re sure. Still, we will watch on in envy as our wealthier gaming cousins enjoy this awesome package.

You could never accuse Gran Turismo’s developers, Polyphony Digital, of doing things half-heartedly. That’s for sure.

The PlayStation Blog are hosting a competition where you could win yourself a real Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar, not a bad prize I’m sure you would agree. Head over to the EU PlayStation blog for more details.
