Angry Birds announced as a minis title, detailed

Submitted by on Wednesday, 25 August 2010No Comment

iPhone and iPod touch favourite Angry Birds has finally been formally announced for release on the PlayStation Network with fresh details.

Angry Birds has dominated the iTunes App Store chart for many months and has rarely dropped from the top spot for paid apps.

So we’re delighted that this game will soon be making its way this Autumn/Fall to the PS3 and PSP as a mini.

The addictive gameplay sees players catapult birds with varying powers at structures to crush and kill the egg thieving green pigs.

Angry Birds will feature 120 levels that require skill and thought to defeat the pigs and ensure the survival of the bird species. A brand new fourth world entitled ‘The Big Set Up’ will also feature in the game, as will a bonus golden egg world and a new big brother bird “capable of massive destruction”.

From experience we can happily assure you that Angry Birds provides many hours of fun that will keep you coming back again and again.

No price has been announced yet, but we regretfully say that we doubt it will buck the trend and sell for as cheap as the App Store version at 59p / $0.99 / €0.79.
