BioShock 2 to get Single Player DLC

Submitted by on Saturday, 7 August 20102 Comments

2K Games has announced brand new DLC for BioShock 2. However what makes this one different from previous content is that it will be a single player only experience.

Set to arrive later in the year, Minerva’s Den sees players take on a new character who teams up with Brigid Tenenbaum to discover the stranglehold a dictator has on Rapture Central Computing, a new key district for the underwater city.

The download features brand new characters, high tech weapons and Plasmids that are said to be even more “devastating” than in the main game. However playing won’t be a walk in the park because your enemies are also more powerful than ever before. Amongst the new enemies is a new Big Daddy that will certainly put you in your place.

President of 2K, Christoph Hartmann, has this to say about Minerva’s Den:

Minerva’s Den is a substantial addition that will give players more of what they’re looking for: more story, more narrative, more gameplay and more of Rapture.

The core team has created an exciting product that further enhances the mystery and allure of the world of Rapture. Minerva’s Den will be a fitting conclusion to the BioShock 2 saga.

Well we know the buzz behind BioShock 2 wasn’t as substantial as the first game, but perhaps this DLC will revitalise the game.
