New Borderlands DLC – Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution – on the way

Submitted by on Friday, 13 August 20103 Comments

It’s been almost a year since Borderlands first graced the console world, so you’d have every reason to think they were probably done putting out DLC.  Gearbox apparently isn’t finished yet, though.

2K Games and Gearbox just recently announced that Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution is coming this September to the PlayStation Network.  While an exact release date hasn’t been decided, we do know that the pack will cost $9.99.

In this new DLC you’ll be teaming up with the Hyperion Corporation to help take down a massive gang of rogue claptraps.  This gang is led by the nastiest claptrap of them all and is known only by the name, Ninja Assassin.

You’ll not only be fighting the traps themselves but also several other enemies that seem to have a similar theme: crab-traps, rakk-traps and skag-trapps.  This new enemy does not come without reward, though.  This package also includes the ability to earn 10 more skill points and 3 more backpack slots.

The DLC that has been put out thus far for Borderlands has been solid.  Some would say it’s even the best add-on content you can find for under $10.  As the release date comes closer, we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on anything new we hear.  Until then, have a look at these 3 screens and let us know if this offering peaks your interest.
