Fallout: New Vegas DLC confirmed
We can’t speak for all PS3 gamers out there but we’re still a little bitter about how Fallout 3’s DLC was handled. It was a very long time before anyone that chose the PS3 version got a chance to buy it, and after Bethesda’s most recent announcement about DLC for Fallout: New Vegas, we’re left with a heavy load of concern about their future post-launch content plans.
On the most recent episode of the Bethesda Podcast, they revealed that DLC is in fact coming for Fallout: New Vegas. Considering the massive amount of success they had the last time they supported a game with expansions, it makes perfect sense.
Unfortunately, they offered no further details about their current tactics beyond what was said above. Maybe we’re fretting over nothing but we can’t help but wonder how things are going to work this time around. Did the uproar that ensued over their last game sway them from treating PS3 gamers as an afterthought this time? Or has Microsoft again persuaded them to go timed-exclusive in an effort to help make up for their abysmal first-party lineup? (not at all a biased comment)
If you listen to their podcast here and wait for the 2:30 mark, you’ll hear them talk briefly about the DLC. How disappointed would you be if the same thing happened again this time? With as much as Microsoft loves to pimp their exclusive DLC, we’re thinking that as of now, no news is good news. As soon as we hear more, we’ll let you know.
