Konami whips up an October release date for the latest entry in the Castlevania series. You’ll only have to wait a few days after the game launches in North America.

Konami finally announced the release date for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Expect the game to hit store shelves on October 5th in North America, on the 7th in Europe, and on the 8th in the UK.

Konami’s UK representative revealed on twitter that there will be a Collector’s Edition that includes the soundtrack and a replica God Mask (Thanks, Ben Gilbert). Let’s hope that this edition isn’t exclusive to the UK.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is developed by MercurySteam under the guidance of Kojima Productions. It seems like Kojima’s team is mostly working on just the localization and isn’t directly involved with the development. The voice actors from the Metal Gear Solid series will be doing the voicework for the characters in Japan. Is it safe to assume that there will be some MGS references scattered throughout the game?
