GC10; Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 includes remake of an anime only released in Japan

Submitted by on Thursday, 19 August 2010No Comment

Namco released tons of gameplay screenshots and artwork for Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2. The new trailer that debuted at Gamescom briefly shows us ‘Plans to eradicate the Super Saiyans’, a 30 minute anime that is included with the game.

Raging Blast 2 could possibly be the best Dragon Ball game we’ve seen in a long time. The visuals are what you’d expect from the series. Although it should be noted that the characters have a much more defined 3D look to them, especially when compared to the first Raging Blast.

Namco is promising over 90 playable characters, more signature moves and transformations, and a whole bunch of bonus material. Raging Blasts 2 boasts a number of game modes, including online play with support for up to 8 players.

In order to unlock Hatchiyak as a playable character you need to watch the entire anime. The 30 minute episode has been re-scripted, re-edited, and reconstructed. Just don’t expect any English voiceovers. The anime is only in Japanese with English subtitles. The game, on the other hand, includes English and Japanese voices.

Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 Kamehamehas store shelves in November. Expect even more Dragon Ball related news in a couple of days. Until then, check out the screenshots below featuring Bojack, Zangya, and Hatchiyak. We also included some artwork.
