GC10; ITV Player coming to PS3
Is the TV section of your XMB looking a bit a empty with only BBC iPlayer sitting there? Well the iPlayer won’t be lonely for long because it’s about to be joined by ITV’s own catch up player. Aw, the old rivals side-by-side again.
Residents of Germany, Spain, Australia, Finland and Holland will also be receiving a new channel.
Yes, at Gamescom 2010, Sony announced plans to roll out new channels across seven nations: Germany will receive Animax; Spain, TV3; UK, ITV; Australia, Yahoo!7′s PLUS7; and Finland, YLE; and Holland will be getting an expanded NOS service. It’s not clear when these new channels will be available, but we’d be surprised if it wasn’t soon.
They will be joined by MUBI, a film streaming service with the focus on quality, critically acclaimed films. MUBI will be arriving in October. The app will be a free download from the PlayStation Store but the films will cost, of course. Visit here to find out more about MUBI.
