Guerrilla Games planning a new IP

Submitted by on Monday, 2 August 20105 Comments

Killzone developer, Guerrilla Games, are planning to make a new IP, according to Herman Hulst, the managing director of the studio. What could it be? We’re expecting a jetpack racer.

The team are only at the concept stage, says Hulst, so the new game is still a long way off. They’re only gathering ideas from all the staff at their studio based in The Netherlands, but Hulst leads us to believe that they already have an idea in mind:

“There are so many ideas. It gives a good picture of what the studio wants. We had quite a quick idea of what we want to do, but it’s still too early to talk about it.”

Right now Guerrilla are hard at work finishing Killzone 3, and it’s looking and playing brilliantly. We wonder what this news means for the franchise; will it be shelved or are Guerrilla simply wanting a break from fighting the Helghast?

Aside from ShellShock: Nam ’67 on the PS2, Guerrilla have always been known for Killzone so they may want to prove that they’re not a one dimensional studio.

What sort of game would you like to see Guerrilla make? Post your suggestions below…
