The ModNation Racers update that we mentioned last week has now released. So it’s time to pop the champagne right?

Sadly not as this update may have fixed some issues with the game, but it has also delivered new ones.

@PlayStation this morning had this to say on the problem:

ModNation Racers: Update 1.02 introduced an issue that affects online XP Races & XP Series. We’re working on a solution to resolve the issue

So there you have it. A very disappointing result from the patch that was supposed to make ModNation Racers closer to the dream many gamers originally had of the game.

There are also reports that in some cases the loading appears to take longer than before which isn’t a good sign either.
