More news and info keeps pouring in from Gamescom, this time in the form of a live stage demo of the Crysis 2 multiplayer mode.
This just in from Gamescom, lots of very cool new Dead Rising 2 screens. Even if you have no interest in the game itself, you simply must see what we’ve got here.
Gamescom has been a volcano of news and announcements this week and the eruption doesn’t appear to be over yet. We’ve got new information on a very cool feature to be included in Gran Turismo 5, as well as an unlikely new vehicle class.
Konami whips up an October release date for the latest entry in the Castlevania series. You’ll only have to wait a few days after the game launches in North America.
Gamescom has been churning out various trailers for some of our most anticipated games. LittleBigPlanet 2 is no exception as today we have for you a brand new one displaying some of what this game has to offer.
The trailer briefly shows off the recently announced music editor, as well as the ability to link various levels together.
This week is pretty good. It’s almost identical to the North American update aside from the absence of the Joe Danger demo. Don’t be sad though. You only have to wait until next week to try the game out for yourself.
This week we’re treated with two demos: NHL 11 and HAWX 2. There’s only one new game and it’s a mini called Fish Tank. It’s probably as interesting as it sounds.
All the usual DLC is available, including the new Uncharted 2 multiplayer skins, the Marvel LBP costumes, and Skate 3′s create expansion. There’s also a bunch of trailers for tons of games shown at Gamescom. This includes Time Crisis: Razing Storm, Killzone 3, inFAMOUS 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, and so much more.

NetherRealm Studios has revealed two new playable characters and environments for the upcoming Mortal Kombat.
We reported earlier that Harmonix have revealed more tracks for Rock Band 3, but Neversoft have decided to go one stage further and finally revealed the entire 90+ track setlist for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.
Konami is bringing the HD port of No More Heroes to PS3 owners in Europe. You might want to import this title if you’re in North America.
Gamescom hasn’t been filled with as many surprises as some may have hoped for, but one of the biggest pieces of news to come out of the event was undoubtedly the announcement of Mass Effect 2 for PS3.
Portal 2 was a surprise PS3 announcement at Sony’s E3 conference, and today from gamescom it has been revealed just when gamers can buy it.
Fresh from Gamescom is the news that Harmonix and MTV Games have revealed some further tracks for the next major title in the Rock Band series. Of the 83 tracks that will be included in the final game, 40 have been revealed so far, 10 of which have just been announced, including songs by artists as diverse as INXS, Bob Marley and Slipknot.
Capcom has released new screenshots for the upcoming sequel to Bionic Commando Rearmed. And… that’s it.

Here’s another Gamescom 2010 trailer for you, this time it’s for FIFA 11. The trailer is your typical sporting montage fare: you get to see the in-game versions of all the biggest players in world football such as Kaka and Iniesta make cameo appearances, showing off their incredible skills. There’s also something else about this trailer which is hard to pin down, something more personal…
This is a good week for the PSN. There has been tons of Gamescom news, but how about stuff we can actually play right now?
Top Gun is now available and its the lone downloadable game for this week. Be sure to read our preview if you haven’t done so already.
Don’t worry though, there’s more content for everyone. There’s a demo for Joe Danger, NHL 2011, and HAWX 2. These demos should keep you occupied for awhile. Let us know what you thought of Joe Danger.
The usual DLC suspects are all present. There’s more downloadable music for Rock Band, the Rock Band Network, and Guitar Hero. Fans of Marvel will be pleased to know that there’s a new LBP costume pack featuring Magneto, Storm, The Hulk, Green Goblin, and The Punisher.
You’ll also find new DLC skins for Uncharted 2, new karts for Modnation Racers, and the create expansion for Skate 3. Enjoy!
It’s finally coming to the PS3 and with bonus content.
Is the TV section of your XMB looking a bit a empty with only BBC iPlayer sitting there? Well the iPlayer won’t be lonely for long because it’s about to be joined by ITV’s own catch up player. Aw, the old rivals side-by-side again.
Residents of Germany, Spain, Australia, Finland and Holland will also be receiving a new channel.
It was only briefly mentioned in the Sony conference at Gamescom, but was confirmed later on the game’s blog, that MAG will be getting Move support in the Autumn. Zipper promises that ‘Pinpoint accuracy and easy access to all of the game’s mechanics ensure that players of any type — be they hardened veterans or new recruits — can enjoy a shooting experience unlike any other’.
But that’s not all. It was also announced on the MAG blog that a new beta for several new features will be available to all existing MAG players next week.
