Landon Donovan will be joining Real Madrid’s Kaka and Arsenal’s Carlos Vela on the cover for FIFA 11 in North America.
If you recall, it was Donovan who scored an amazing game-winning goal against Algeria in injury time to advance the United States into the Round of 16 of the 2010 World Cup. In 2009, he was named Major League Soccer’s Most Valuable Player and awarded the MLS Goal of the Year 2009. So far Donovan has scored 5 goals and 11 assists in his 2010 season, making him a worthy choice for the cover athlete.
