Split/Second: Velocity getting DLC soon
Split/Second caught a lot of people off guard when it landed in May, as not many gamers were expecting this arcade racer to amount to any kind of real success. Now, not only has the game sold fairly well at retail but it’s also been well received by the media.
Black Rock Studios – the game’s developer – has just announced that there is an overabundance of DLC on the way in the next couple of months.
The first of this new DLC has some fuzzy details but appears to be an upgrade pack of sorts. The second kit is called the ‘High-Octane Supercar Pack’ and the final offering is a free special edition vehicle based on the Ryback Cyclone.
The packages listed above are going to be available on the PlayStation Network in the coming weeks, but there’s also another slice of downloadable pie coming for Split/Second in September. Black Rock is calling it a ‘major DLC pack that contains a new environment.’
While pricing for these items has not yet been announced – other than the free kit – you can bet that we’ll be hearing a final price tag very soon.
