reddeadredemption e1278605334196 Two new DLC packs announced for Red Dead RedemptionRockstar have announced the next DLC pack for Red Dead Redemption, titled Liars and Cheats. This content adds new modes to competitive multiplayer, and expands the activities available in online free roam. However, they also announced the first singleplayer-based DLC, the Undead Nightmare pack.

Those players that are still working their way to Rank 50 will surely be very pleased with Liars and Cheats, as it gives the already impressive multiplayer suite more variation.

The Liars and Cheats pack also contains the previously announced Free Roam Pack, and will include the following new features:

  • Multiplayer poker and liar’s dice for free roam
  • Multiplayer horse races
  • A new weapon – the Explosive Rifle
  • Seven new gang hideouts
  • Four new hunting grounds
  • Stronghold competitive multiplayer mode
  • Fifteen new multiplayer characters from the RDR story-line
  • New PSN trophies

The pack will be released worldwide on September 21st and will be priced at $9.99 in North America, €9.99 in Europe, and £7.99 in the UK.

Also announced was the Undead Nightmare pack. Not much information was given, but it will feature ‘an entirely new single-player campaign that follows John Marston as he tries to find a cure for the highly infectious zombie plague that has spread across the frontier’.

The pack also contains new gameplay mechanics, weapons, zombie animals, mythical creatures, a secret location, and multiplayer modes. No release date was given (other than ‘later this fall’), but it looks like it will be the same price as previous DLC. We’ll be sure to update you when we hear more.
