SEGA has announced that a demo for their upcoming sci-fi action shooter Vanquish will be released on August 31st in North America and on September 1st in Europe.

The demo, entitled Velocity Attack, will allow players to chose one of two difficulty levels, Casual or Normal. As a refresher, you’ll take on the role of Sam, a US government agent equipped with ARS battle suit.

The demo takes place in the third port lobby of a space station that has been taken by Russia. You’ll fight against waves of enemy robots, dropships, and Walkers, which can be hijacked for your own personal use. The demo culminates with boss battle against the formidable Argus. From the sound of things, this is the same demo we previewed at E3.

Vanquish is due out October 19th in North America and October 22nd in Europe. Below are the latest screens from the game.
