The first ever Platinum Community Member of the Month competition has been a resounding success. We’ve seen a drastic increase in both the number of overall comments, as well as the average number of comments per article. We’d like to thank all of you that have partaken in this event and helped propel PS3 Attitude to where it is today.
While we won’t be ready to roll out the winners of September’s contest until next week, that’s not going to stop us from letting you know what we’re giving away for October.
Play.com are running a fantastic deal offering customers who pre-order Vanquish with a free copy of PlatinumGame’s other title, Bayonetta.
The game costs £39.99 to pre-order (£10 less than the RRP) so it already pays to get in early, but to get a free copy of Bayonetta is a steal.
What’s that? Three fantastic European PS Store updates in a row? Surely not!
SCEE really seem to have stepped up recently with both PlayStation Plus and the weekly Store updates, with a whole range of content available.
There’s two new games this week, namely the much-better-than-expected Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, and TerRover, the brand new game from the guys at Creat. They’re joined by DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue, which is released as a standalone game today after last week’s bundle offer.
Also available this week are three new minis, demos for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, EA Sports MMA, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, My Sims: Sky Heroes, TerRover and WRC FIA World Rally Championship, as well as DLC for the likes of Borderlands, FIFA 11 and Mafia II, and much, much more. Enjoy!
Star Wars. Are you put off by its stately pomp, and by the excessive reverence that people offer it? Do you wish for a bit of silliness to be injected? LucasArts hear your cries, that’s why they’ve added a Guybrush Threepwood skin to The Force Unleashed II.
We get the feeling that Castlevania: Lord of Shadow is going to pass unnoticed for a lot of gamers. It’s a real shame too, because it looks like it’s shaping up to be a great game. With hopes of driving the hype train as far as they can, Konami has just released a massive video, giving gamers a little more insight on some of the game’s details.
It’s that time again! Time for the North American PlayStation Store Update! We’ve effectively named this one the ‘demo update’ because it containts six demos. So if you’re the ‘try it before you buy it’ type, then this is the update for you!
Aside from all the demolicious goodness, we’ve also got 3 new games to download. If you’re a PlayStation Plus member, this might not be as exciting for you since 2 of them were available for download last week. Regardless, Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue, Swords & Soldiers and the long awaited Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light are all available.
If none of the above interests you, then there’s plenty of other add-on content, wallpaper, avatars and price drops to take a look at. Put some thought in to it and be sure to let us know what you’ll be picking up.
