TGS10; Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion trailer
Aside from the Medal of Honor video we just showed you, another piece of news that flew under the radar last week is a new trailer for the Vietnam expansion of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 that’s coming this winter.
This marks the second trailer we’ve seen from this expansion and just like the first, it relies on a stylish feel with good music that’s meant to get you excited without showing any actual gameplay. As we’ve said in the past, we’re not traditionally big fans of this kind of video, but at the same time it’s hard to knock such a cool trailer – gameplay or not.
No doubt fans Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be very excited for this but the timing has left us with a bad taste in our mouth. Although they were free for those who bought the game new, all maps packs that have been released so far – with the exception of the first one – were merely remakes of maps that were already included in the game.
Now, with this pack not coming until after the launch of Medal of Honor and Call of Duty: Black Ops, we can’t help but be a little disappointed at how long it has taken DICE to get this expansion out. On the other hand, this definitely appears to be a proper expansion as it will include new maps, vehicles, guns and more. While the majority of the shooter crowd probably won’t be rushing out to buy it, we’re certain that core fans of the Battlefield franchise are probably giddy just thinking about it.
