You’ll be able to play EA’s take on Mixed Martial Arts at the end of this month.

The demo features two weight classes, with a total of four playable weight classes. On the heavyweight side you’ll be able to play as either the current Strikeforce heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem or former WWE champion, Bobby Lashley. Jiu-Jitsu fighters Jake Shields and Jason “Mayhem” Miller represent the middleweight class.

Included in the demo are two playable game modes. “Fight Now” is exactly what you’d expect and allows you to choose between four different skill levels. EA is also providing a tutorial mode featuring the two middleweights .

EA Sports MMA armbars store shelves on October 19th in North America and on the 22nd in Europe. By sharing the demo with friends you can unlock “Classic” Randy Couture as a playable character once you get your hands on the game. This seems like an interesting way to get gamers involved.
