Firmware update v3.50 now available

Submitted by on Tuesday, 21 September 20105 Comments

The PS3 can now play 3D Blu-ray movies. The additional features in this update aren’t too shabby either.

Aside from the 3D movie functionality, this firmware update has two other features. First, Facebook integration has been improved. Once a game is compatible, you’ll be able to access information such as your user name, profile, photos, and more. This feature is completely useless at the moment.

The next feature is a grief reporting function. If someone is being inappropriate, you can now report them through the XMB. It’s surprising that it took Sony this long to add this ability. Another improvement includes being able to use the PlayStation Move as a cursor for the web browser.

Are you going to watch 3D movies on your PS3?
