The Last Guardian to be shown at TGS

Submitted by on Wednesday, 8 September 20105 Comments

The long wait for more news on Team ICO’s next project, The Last Guardian, will be coming to an end at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Creator Fumito Ueda will be presenting the game to a crowd of salivating journalists at the event next week. Better bring a towel.

The Last Guardian is the follow up to ICO and Shadow of the Colossus – both hugely popular PlayStation 2 titles. It follows the story of a young boy and his guardian – a huge cat/bird-like creature. Team ICO’s previous games were stunningly beautiful and had a hugely emotional story; these games brought grown gamers to tears. The Last Guardian will no doubt affect gamers in the same way.

Expect a beautiful friendship between a boy and his cat/dog/rat/bird

The game was first presented at E3 2009 and later at TGS 2009 but since then it has been very quiet. We’re just glad we don’t have to wait much longer to see more from the game. The Last Guardian is arguably the most hotly anticipated title coming to the PlayStation 3.
