Heavy Rain – Move Edition release date and patch details

Submitted by on Monday, 13 September 20104 Comments

Sony and Quantic Dream have just announced the release date and other details of Heavy Rain: Move Edition, as well as the Move patch and demo.

Firstly, if you already own Heavy Rain then you’ll be able to download a free patch from 22nd September, which will enable Move functionality, increasing the already impressive sense of immersion. A Move demo for the game will also be released on 15th September in Europe and 28th September in North America.

Further details of the Move Edition were also revealed. It will be released on 8th October in the UK and Ireland, 7th October in Australia and New Zealand, and 6th October for the rest of the PAL territory.

It also turns out that the extra 45 minutes of bonus material isn’t the only extra in this version of the game. Also included on the disc are:

  • The Taxidermist playable scene
  • Three XMB dynamic themes
  • Full game soundtrack
  • Nine making of videos (there were only three for the original release)

That’s more content than even the Special Edition had, and will be priced at a very reasonable £29.99/€39.99. If you don’t yet own the game, and plan on getting the PlayStation Move, then buying Heavy Rain: Move Edition should really be a no-brainer.
