TGS10; Ninja Gaiden 3 announced, will it come to the PS3?

Submitted by on Wednesday, 15 September 2010No Comment

Tecmo Koei announced Ninja Gaiden 3 at TGS behind closed doors. Let’s hope PS3 owners don’t have to wait for the release of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 3 to get their hands on this title.

Not many details have been announced for Ninja Gaiden 3 yet, not even the platforms. However, Gamepro is reporting that the lone concept art is Team Ninja’s way of revealing the new direction the developer is taking with the series.

As you can see in the enlarged image below, there’s a lot of blood. As you might remember, there was barely any blood in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. There was pools of it in the 360 version though. The omission didn’t exactly please fans.

It looks like Team Ninja will attempt to develop Ryu Hayabusa by showing his darker side. Character development seems to be important to the developer as of late. Will they add a backstory to Ryu in the same way they did for Samus in Metroid: Other M? We’ll have to wait and see.

What do you think? Notice Ryu’s right eye? There’s actually a reflection of someone in it. Who could that be?
