Rapper RZA joins DJ Hero as a playable character

Submitted by on Thursday, 2 September 2010One Comment

RZA, a legendary hip-hop artist and founder of The Wu-Tang Clan, will be joining the likes of David Guetta, Deadmau5, DJ Qbert, and Tiësto as a playable character in Activision’s upcoming DJ Hero 2.

RZA is known across the hip-hop community for not only rapping but also producing, directing, writing, and acting. It should come as no surprise then that he’ll be contributing two new tracks to the setlist, LL Cool J’s  “I Can’t Live Without My Radio” mixed with Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five’s “The Message” and Damian Marley’s “Welcome To Jamrock” mixed with Walter Murphy’s “A Fifth of Beethoven.”

“I’m very excited to be involved with DJ Hero 2. As both a DJ and gamer from an early age, the game combines two of my passions,” said RZA. “I loved working with the team and am excited for the fans to hear the two brand-new mixes I put together just for this game. Bong bong!”

Finally, check out the all new trailer featuring the one and only RZA.
