Section 8 sequel announced

Submitted by on Monday, 13 September 2010No Comment

TimeGate Studios has announced Section 8: Prejudice, a sequel to last year’s first-person shooter.

Section 8 was originally released for the 360 last September but it didn’t make it to the PS3 until March of this year as a downloadable title for the PlayStation Network. No platforms have been announced for the sequel yet but we’re hoping that the launch date is the same for all versions of the game.

Prejudice takes place after the events of the first game and has you once again taking the role of Captain Alex Corde and the 8th Armored Infantry, also known as Section 8. A new threat has emerged and it’s up to them to save humanity.

The sequel will have a longer story mode and “ever-changing-team-based combat” for the online multiplayer mode. Expect over more than 50 customizable weapons, tools and upgrades, the ability to spawn anywhere on the map, and of course, multiple game modes.

Feedback from the community and media has been used to drive every single development decision on this project. Prejudice is taking everything popular about the first game of the series and pushing the envelope further.  We’ve created a brand new and compelling story-driven single-player experience, expanded the world with new environments and massive amounts of new equipment. Prejudice is a full-blown sequel in every sense. – Adel Chaveleh, CEO of TimeGate Studios

Section 8: Prejudice is expected to launch sometime in early 2011. More details were promised to be revealed in the coming months. Check out the screenshots below:
