Uncharted 2 Game of the Year Edition Announced

Submitted by on Wednesday, 29 September 20109 Comments

Uncharted 2 is undoubtedly one of the greatest PlayStation 3 games of all time.  When it first launched in October of 2009, it achieved high levels of success in many forms.  One of those forms came in the way of game of the year awards.  Now, to celebrate the many aformentioned awards it received, it’s going to be getting an official game of the year edition.

Aside from a shiny new case that varies slightly from the original, this edition will also be getting every piece of DLC that has been released for Uncharted 2, as well as a couple of other goodies.  That’s over $35 worth of cool stuff at no additional cost.  Check below for the full list.

  • PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack
  • UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune Multiplayer Pack
  • UNCHARTED 2 Siege Expansion Pack
  • Currency Multiplier which grants Double XP up to level 10 in Multiplayer
  • Golden Guns option for the AK-47 and the 92FS 9mm pistol for use in Multiplayer
  • Early access to “Revenge” Booster – you still have to purchase it with in-game cash!
  • UNCHARTED: Eye of Indra – Motion Comic Bundle (which includes Episodes 1-4)
  • UNCHARTED: Eye of Indra – Rika Raja and Daniel Pinkerton Character Skins
  • UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves – Avatar Pack 1
  • UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves – Avatar Pack 2
  • UNCHARTED Avatar Pack 3
  • UNCHARTED Avatar Pack 4
  • Pinball Heroes – UNCHARTED for the PSP

The game of the year edition of Uncharted 2 will be launching on October 12 for the bargain price of $49.99.  As of now, it appears this is only for North America but we’ll keep you updated if we hear otherwise.

Pretty much everyone and their dog already owns this game, so we’re guessing they’re relying pretty much solely on repeat purchases to drive sales.  Anyone out there already own the game that would consider giving this a look?
