[Update]Blacklight: Tango Down finally has solid release date
Earlier in the summer when Blacklight: Tango Down was nearing its initial release date, we were actually pretty excited to play it. Our excitement was soon replaced with annoyance as it was delayed for an unforeseen amount of time. Now, we have a firm release date again, but based on when it’s coming out and the other games that surround it, we have to question if anyone still cares.
If this game had come out in August or September, we would’ve been there on day one ready to play. Not necessarily because it just looks amazing, but because there wasn’t much coming out around that time and Blacklight looked mildly entertaining.
The game’s new release date is October 26, right in the middle of the Fall rush for video games. It comes out in the same month as Enslaved, Medal of Honor and Fallout: New Vegas. Not to mention the big games coming out in the following month of November.
We’re not sure about you guys but after reading about all the technical issues that initially hindered the PS3 version, and having a great selection of shooters to play right now, this game has completely dropped off our radar. We certainly don’t want to pass judgment on a game we haven’t played but at the same time, it seems like the developer are pretty much sending this game to its own death.
