This is just a quick reminder that the XMB theme that gives all PlayStation Plus users a chance of taking part in the Killzone 3 multiplayer beta later this month, is now live on the European PS Store.
Fans have been waiting years for Gran Turismo 5 and it looks like they’re going to have to wait just a little bit longer because Sony has broken the news that the game will not release on November 2nd as previously stated but will instead come sometime this holiday season.
Sony and LoveFilm have officially confirmed that the film rental service is coming to the PlayStation Network, exclusively for UK PS3 users, and will be free for subscribers of £5.99 packages or higher.
Information on Call of Duty: Black Ops seems to come in waves these days. We’ll get something about the campaign, then we’ll get something on multiplayer and then we get something on the zombies game mode, and the cycle repeats. It’s that time again! Time for the North American PlayStation Store Update! While the update itself is pretty large, it’s a few of the games and demos released this week that really make it such an awesome addition.
For starters, there’s Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 and Dead Space Ignition. As if those games aren’t appealing enough, there’s a demo for both of them, meaning that if you’re not traditionally a Sonic or Dead Space fan, you can still get in on the action without it costing you anything.
Speaking of demos, there’s also one for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, just in case you want to see what it’s like on the dark side. Outside of that there’s also a special section with all kinds Halloween-themed games, themes, avatars and DLC.

An advert uploaded to SCEE’s official PlayStation 3 YouTube channel has revealed plans to release a LoveFilm app for the PlayStation 3. The video, which has since been removed, said that from Autumn, PlayStation 3 owners will be able to stream films hosted on LoveFilm to their TVs via their consoles.
TimeGate Studios has announced that a sequel to Section 8 entitled Prejudice is coming in 2011. Not only that but you can also purchase the original Section 8 from the PSN Store for only $14.99, a 50% permanent price drop, starting tomorrow October 12th.

Brink is one of the most exciting and ambitious first-person shooters on the horizon, on any platform. Splash Damage have a track record of making first-rate multi-player FPSs (Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars) and with Brink they’re looking to take the genre further than anyone else.
One area where Splash Damage are pushing innovation, is in the way which they are looking to blend the single-player, co-op and multi-player experience, by allowing players to seamlessly jump from public to private matches.
PS3 Attitude caught up with Richard “Rahdo” Ham (Creative Director) and Edward ‘BongoBoy’ Stern (Lead Writer) at the Eurogamer Expo, and we discussed, at length, this aspect of Brink.

Steven Ter Heide of Guerrilla Games was answering questions on Killzone 3 at the Eurogamer Expo last week, and he revealed some interesting facts regarding Killzone 3.
He briefly discussed how Guerrilla were looking to improve on Killzone 2′s matchmaking and party systems, and he also revealed some of the new modes we’ll be playing.
EA have announced that FIFA’s popular annual Ultimate Team DLC will be free to all users of FIFA 11. Not only that, but it’s also coming in November, giving gamers three whole months longer to play it than normal.
Zombies are all the rage right now. It seems pretty much everywhere you look in video games, you see the undead. Even titles that have nothing to do with them find some way to implement everyone’s favorite cannibalistic monsters. Now we’ve got Dead Rising 2, a game that revolves around nothing but zombies. Sure fire good time, right?
Capcom announced Arthur and Spencer as playable characters in MvC3 at the New York Comic-Con. Even better, the Marvel website leaked screenshots that reveal Magneto and MODOK as well. Oops?
