Pro Guitar gameplay video for Rock Band 3

Submitted by on Sunday, 24 October 2010One Comment

If you’re as curious as we are about the new Pro Guitar gameplay in Rock Band 3, then you’ll be pleased to know that Harmonix and EA have released a video detailing the new feature.

For those that don’t know, Pro Guitar allows gamers to play the game with a new, specially-designed guitar controller, which is essentially a real, fully-functional, six-string guitar. The idea is that you can learn to play a song in Rock Band 3, then quit the game, plug the guitar into an amp, and you’ll be able to play the song in real-life, by doing exactly what you just did in the game. Pretty clever stuff.

Whilst we don’t particularly like the idea of buying another load of (much more expensive) instrument controllers, no one can deny that the new gameplay looks extremely cool. The guys from Harmonix in the above video can explain everything about the new gameplay much more effectively than us, but we will say this; it looks seriously difficult!
