New L.A. Noire screens pop up

Submitted by on Friday, 19 November 20104 Comments

It seems like a lifetime ago when L.A. Noire was announced.  The only thing worse than a game taking so long to develop is not hearing any information about it for months at a time.  That’s exactly what has happened with L.A. Noire.  Luckily, we’re finally starting to see some very good news and media come out of hiding.

It wasn’t even a week ago that we first showed you the lip sync’ trailer and all of its glory.  Today, we’ve got an entire pack of new screenshots to be gazed at.  While screens are never as impressive as videos, these are still looking pretty damn awesome.

Funny thing about these shots is that Rockstar has specified these are from the PlayStation 3 version of the game.  We see new packs of screenshots for games every day and it is extremely rare that a multi-platform developer specifies what system the screens are from.  We’re only speculating but you’d think Rockstar would want to put their best foot forward when showing a game off for the first time.  It makes us wonder if the PS3 version will end up being the better looking of the two.  If you’ll remember back to when this game was announced, it was originally slated to be a PlayStation exclusive, so it makes sense.

Hopeful fanboyism aside, take a look at the shots below and be sure to let us know what you think.  If you’re like us and salivate at the mere thought of playing this game, you can fully prepare for it by preording via one of the links at the bottom of the page.
