Dead Nation has been a scorching hot topic around the Attitude Towers as of late and with good reason. Call us zombie fanboys all you want but this game is looking good and anything that comes from the studio that gave us Stardust HD is certainly worth a look. Today we finally got a solid launch date for both North America and Europe. Come inside to see what it is.
Brink’s exaggerated art style is a breath of fresh air in an environment where every developer appears to be striving for impeccable realism. Developers Splash Damage accentuate body parts in a way that reveals something about the characters in the game, and what you get from this is big guys with huge chins or massive hands. Yes, it can be comical, but this approach allows Brink to stand out in a way that few games can. It also looks very cool.
In case you weren’t around towards the end of 2009, we’ll tell you that we absolutely loved DiRT 2. There are very few members of the PS3 Attitude team that aren’t big rally fans, so this franchise has always been big around here. When DiRT 3 was announced, we were giddy with excitement and now that more information is starting to come in, we can hardly contain ourselves.
Homefront is a game that – for us – has been the complete polar opposite of a game like DC Universe that we talked about in the article below. There have been a fair amount of details that have leaked about Homefront and what it’s all about. Those details and the minor amount of gameplay footage we’ve seen so far have us very excited. Click the title to see more info and some new screens.
We haven’t talked much about DC Universe in a while and the few things we’ve had to say about it have been very lukewarm. It’s not just us, either. Much of the gaming community seems to be a little skeptical about this title. Today we’re bringing you some new screens with the hope of boosting your excitement level.
It was just shy of two years ago when Killzone 2 exploded on to the scene and inserted itself as yet another multiplayer juggernaut on the PlayStation 3. As crowded as the genre already is, Killzone has always found a way to set itself apart. Now, we’ve had some hands on time with the Killzone 3 multiplayer beta and we’re ready to bring you our impressions. So how does it hold up?
On Wednesday, we were given the chance to play Modern Combat Domination, Dungeon Hunter Alliance and Blokus; all made by Gameloft which, up until now, has focused on mobile gaming. So how do their first console entries fare? Lets find out.
Positioned in the heart of London, just off Oxford St, with a headcount of around 25, Mediatonic are one of the larger mini developers. PS3 Attitude is here to learn more about them, to see what makes them tick and to investigate their true thoughts on Sony’s mini programme. We’re also getting hands-on with their soon-to-be-released game – Who’s That Flying? – and contemplating whether they have done the impossible; that is: make something more addictive than Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess.
Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of Gran Turismo, has addressed his legion of fans following the announcement that the game will be released on UK and North American shores from 24th November. In his address, Yamauchi compares Gran Turismo 5′s development to the Apollo Space Programme. He also explains the ambitions of his team before apologising to gamers for missing their previous release date.
A new release date has been confirmed for the perpetually delayed Gran Turismo 5, and it’s coming sooner than you may have anticipated. Gran Turismo 5 will be released on the 24th of November, and not next year as had been erroneously reported by some. That’s only 12 days away – and yes, that is official.

Rockstar has finally unveiled video footage of their upcoming crime thriller, L.A. Noire. The game is set to have a cinematic feel, a distinctive setting and very impressive acting. All are present in the trailer, but we’re especially blown away by the incredible lip-sync.

It’s a bit of a quiet episode this week, but there are some nice exclusive features, including the Making of Costume Quest, an interview with Jean Jacques Belletete (Art Director of the upcoming Deus Ex game), and a Castlevania: Lords of Shadow bosses guide.
There’s also a reviews round-up featuring Saw II: Flesh and Blood and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, screenshot galleries of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Splatterhouse, and an exclusive demo of recent PSN title, Premier Manager.
We hope you like downloadable content, because there isn’t much else to get excited about in this update; although to be fair with add-ons for EyePet, Front Mission: Evolved, God of War III, Guitar Hero, Hustle Kings, Just Cause 2, ModNation Racers, My Aquarium, PAIN and Rock Band, there’s quite a bit to choose from.
The biggest release this week is probably the awesome role-playing title, Grandia, which has finally been released as a PSone classic. Other games include Crescent Pale Mist (no, we hadn’t heard of it either), a bundle of Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype & The Last Chapter, and three new minis.
Other than that it’s just the usual themes, avatars, videos, and FirstPlay for those in the UK and Ireland. MUBI, the independent film streaming service is now also available in more countries, and with the quiet Store update there’s no excuse not to try it out.
So, anything take your fancy this week?
Hey there, it’s time once again for the PlayStation Store Update! There’s not a ton of content this time around as far as games go but if you like themes or game videos, then this may very well be the update you’ve been waiting for.
Available this week is the new PSN game Crescent Pale Mist which requires you to use ancient magic to save the world from certain annihilation. While there’s no demo or trial to go along with it, there are demos for Apache Air Assault and CSI: Fatal Conspiracy.
If you fancy those nifty dynamic themes then you should definitely cruise down to the theme section and check them out. Nine new themes grace the store today with six of them coming in dynamic fashion. Along with the overabundance of themes, there’s also 22 new videos to watch, including a new episode of Pulse and The Tester.
