Support GamesAid – Purchase The Cloud Connection
If you’ve been around the site for very long, you know that we pride ourselves on bringing you the latest and greatest PlayStation 3 coverage that we can. Unfortunately, the fact that we do all this for charity sometimes gets lost in the shuffle of things. Today we’re going to give you a reminder of why we do this, as well as a way for you to add some additional support.
In case you didn’t already know it, PS3 Attitude is a 100% Philanthropic venture. Site hosting fees, giveaways and all site maintenance are funded out of staff member’s pockets. Any revenue generated from the site goes straight to our charity of choice, and that charity is currently GamesAid.
In case you’re not familiar with GamesAid, it’s a UK-based video games industry charity. It distributes funds to a diverse range of charities; it is a means of giving something back on behalf of the industry. Funds will predominantly be used to support children’s charities in the UK; for education, health, housing and social welfare.
Aside from reminding you why we do this, we’d also like to show you another way to help our charity of choice. There’s a new novel just out by a fellow named Nathan McGrath called, The Cloud Connection. In case you’re like us and had not heard about this before now, you can check out the book, read a preview and find your preferred method of purchase, here. Below is a quick description of The Cloud Connection.
A world devastated by climate change. Infected with nano-particles that enable him to link to anything with a microchip. Wanted by MI5 and hunted across Europe by a ruthless military corporation. Then militant cyber-activists offer to help, but they have their own plans. So much for being a normal 16 year old.
So why would you want to purchase this book and why are we pitching it to you? Because it seems Nathan McGrath and PS3 Attitude have something in common – we both support GamesAid. Not only do we support the same charity but Nathan is going to be donating 50% of what he gets from each sale to GamesAid. So head to the link we listed above and check it out. Hopefully it floats your boat and gives you another way to support our cause.
We know this is a little different than the type of news you traditionally see from us but we just felt a reminder of why we do this was in order. We appreciate all those that have donated or purchased something through one of our preorder links in the past, and we hope that you’ll continue to do so.
