Demon’s Souls servers extended again; Pure White World Tendency incoming
Months ago we learned that Atlus would support the online servers for Demon’s Souls until at least March 2011. Now they say they are committed to keeping the servers running until the game’s second anniversary. That would be October 9, 2011 in North America.
It appears that so long as there is fan support for the game, the servers will continue to live.
“We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again,” commented Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales at Atlus. “We will support the online servers for Demon’s Souls as long as we possibly can, and we’ll be as transparent about the entire process as possible, hence us constantly updating folks as to what to expect.”
It’s nice to see Atlus being honest with us. So many times we hear of online servers shutting down a week or two after the news has been announced.
Atlus also took this time to announce that beginning on December 20, there will be a Pure White Tendency event lasting until 2011. It’ll be a good opportunity for those who got the game during the holiday season to get well acquainted before the difficult ramps back up.
