echochrome ii hits the North American PSN on December 21st
Back when the PlayStation Move released in September, we posted some gameplay videos and impressions for the upcoming echochrome ii. At the time, it seemed like the game was going to release in October. That obviously never happened.
In echochrome ii the PlayStation Move controller acts as a flashlight. By manipulating the shadows of the objects on screen, the echochrome dude is able to slowly make his way across. The idea of perception from the first game still exist, but with a very unique twist.
The full version of the game includes 100 pre-made levels right from the start. Each level can be played in three different ways. The first is called “escort” and this is the mode where you help navigate the echochrome dude to the goal. In “echo” mode, you have to collect ghosts that are scattered all throughout a level. If you’re familiar with the first game in the series, you’ll know exactly what to expect here. And lastly, there’s “paint” mode. Whenever your character is walking on a shadow, the blocks casting that shadow will be painted either red, green, or blue.
There’s no word on a European release date yet. Let’s hope the wait isn’t too long.
