Galaxy Fight coming to the PSN Import Store this Tuesday

Submitted by on Monday, 13 December 2010One Comment

MonkeyPaw Games brings another PSone game from Japan to North America for the first time.

Galaxy Fight is a 2D fighting game originally released in 1995 for the Neo Geo. A PSone port was made but it never made it to North America. The game features 8 characters to play as from all over the galaxy.

Galaxy Fight is most known for its lack of walls on screen, which ultimately creates an endless battle ground. According to the press release, this is the first fighting game to introduce such a concept. Even now, there aren’t many games in the genre without walls or invisible barriers. Tekken is probably most known for using this concept, although there are some stages in enclosed areas now.

As with all the other PSone Classics from MonkeyPaw Games, Galaxy Fight will be available for $5.99. You’ll find the game in tomorrow’s PS Store Update. You have to hand it to MPG, they have already released 16 classics on the PSN and many of them are awesome games. We can’t wait to see what else they bring over.
